Notes

The "View Notes on Locations" permission serves two main purposes:

Adding Public Notes on Locations

   - Users with this permission can add notes on a location, which are visible to all personnel assigned to shifts at that location who have permission to view notes.

   - These notes are helpful for sharing information relevant to the location, such as special instructions or safety protocols.

   - Personnel can view these notes even after the assignment has been completed or checked out.

Posting Notes on Locations After Check-in

   - Personnel with this permission can post notes on the location after checking in to the assignment.

   - These notes are visible to all personnel who have been assigned to assignments for that location.

   - The notes remain visible even after the assignment has been marked completed or checked out.

Additional points to note about this permission:

- The option to post notes on locations is only available to personnel after they check in to the assignment.

- Personnel can only post notes on the assignment they are assigned to and have checked in to work. These notes are visible to admins only.

- Personnel can view admin-created notes marked as public, but only after checking in.

By leveraging this permission effectively, users can share important information about locations and assignments, enhancing communication and coordination among staff members.

Checking out and signing out

The main difference between checking out and signing out in the context of Staffpoint™ is as follows:

Checking Out

   - Checking out is a process available to personnel when their agency expects them to log the end time of the assignment themselves.

   - To check out, personnel need to tap on "My Assignments" from the menu button in the Staffpoint™ app.

   - Then, they select the assignment they wish to check out of and tap on "Complete Assignment."

   - The app will verify that it's near the end of the assignment, and if so, the personnel will be checked out automatically.

Signing Out

   - Signing out is a process available to personnel when their agency requires supervisor confirmation of the end of the assignment.

   - To sign out, personnel tap on "My Assignments" from the menu button in the Staffpoint™ app.

   - Then, they select the assignment they wish to sign out of and tap on "Sign Out Assignment."

   - The app will prompt personnel to confirm the start and end times of the assignment.

   - After confirming the times, personnel are required to give their device to their supervisor or approver.

   - The supervisor or approver then adds their name and signature to confirm the end of the assignment.

   - Finally, personnel can tap on "Record Sign Out" to complete the sign-out process.

In summary, checking out allows personnel to log the end time of the assignment themselves, while signing out involves supervisor confirmation of the end of the assignment through a signature.
